Profile

Halle is a visual artist whose practice is a celebration of vulnerability, gratitude, and love, deepened by the context of pain. Often using the boundaries between light and shadow as a metaphor, she visualizes the dissonant temporalities that make up our lifetimes and explores the overlap between joy and suffering.

Through drawing, painting, animation, and printmaking, Halle celebrates human and environmental connection. Her practice is informed by her background in environmental and marine science, as well as her experiences with chronic illness. After an especially tumultuous year of hospitalizations and surgeries, s
he has had the privilege of dedicating 2025 to chasing joy. Through the Post Baccalaureate program at SMFA, she has been able to document her healing process and develop a strong studio practice.

As she finishes her program, she will continue to find her feet and establish herself as an artist, and is in search of opportunities related to public art, animation, residency programs, and anything else that comes her way.
